“What? I thought we got rid of them for good,” Some Guy.
That’s right folks Bridges And Squares is back again with Deep Cuts, Volume One. We’ve compiled a few tracks that we recorded that didn’t make it on the air for previous shows and decided to pack ‘em all together! Plus, we have a couple songs from my band, The Exchange Rate, and a song from our upcoming episode with, Night Fruit.
The show also features our previous guests, Abram Taber, The Freeways, and A Bit Much. You have to see these bands live! The Freeways are releasing their new album on July 7th at the Middle East. The show features a great lineup (Streight Angular, Sinbusters, Red Quiet, Radio Control) so try to check it out! A Bit Much is active all over New England in June and July. Abram Has a show on Saturday (June 26th) at Friendly Square before venturing to parts unknown on a US Tour.
We should be posting shows more regularly beginning with Night Fruit, so please keep listening. Email us at bridgesandsquares@gmail.com if you want to come on the show as a guest or guest host! Thanks!

That shit arrived like I promised. This episode may be our best one yet. A Bit Much were a great group of guys to record. They the cool with us even though we had lots of technical difficulties. Their music is like a tour of rock music from the sixties all the way up until now. They do all this while keeping it light with funny lyrics. Want some Doors-like keys with a Brian May rock solo? They got it. Want epic rock songs that tell Frampton Comes Alive to die? They got that too. As for us, we discussed whether indie rock is better than mainstream music or are we just pretentious douches. The answer: we’re kind of douchey. Or are we… Check out A Bit Much, they’re playing a lot of shows soon.
SETLIST:
I Can Rock Nobody Like Nobody’s Been Rocked Before
Starvation Wage
All I Want Is George Harrison’s Wife
When I Need Your Lovin I Gotta have Your Lovin (hope I didn’t screw up the spelling on that one)
Some of their songs they played for us are from their great new album. Download the album here.

Enjoy!

As I was giving a last listen to podcast #4 before posting it, I noticed I didn’t quite fade my bed music while A Bit Much is playing. Arrrgghh. That is an unacceptable problem. I can’t fix it until I get home from work so that shit will be posted tomorrow instead of today.
We recorded A Bit Much on Thursday. I finished mixing it Sunday. Let me tell ya, this set by A Bit Much is molten hot stuff. The seem to cover multiple genres of rock in each song. There are many echoes of classic rock’s past, whether it be Brian May’s guitar, Ray Manzarek’s keys, or many others. Now that the music is mixed, I should have the podcast up either tomorrow or Wednesday. Stay tuned bitches!
I was hoping to have a new episode to release this week but I dropped the ball a little bit and didn’t schedule a new band in time. That’s okay though because I’m in deep negotiations with four bands for upcoming shows. By deep negotiations, I mean we’re trying to pick a day when everyone is free. From there we should be able to keep the shows coming pretty regularly. Upcoming guests should include:
A Bit Much,
The Sinbusters,
Ladderlegs,
JDO (that’s right we’re bringing the local hip-hop to the party too)
I take no responsibility if any of these bands fall through but they have all expressed interest. Until the next show comes out, enjoy this video by our first guests ever, the best band in Boston, Streight Angular. These guys are going places, pay attention.
